Two days before Myanmar’s general election, here are scenes from the streets of Yangon and some Burmese talking about the changes the country has undergone in recent years and what they hope for the future.

Opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy is the front-runner in the first national election since a semi-civilian government took power in 2011 after nearly 50 years of military dictatorship.
